About me I grew up in Inner City Baltimore (imagine The Wire but 100 time’s worst). I was basically raised by my grandmother. My mom will be in prison for the rest of her life and I have no idea who my father is. When I was 17 my grandmother passed away, she left me with her best friend who attempted to do everything she could for me but I was to out of control (meaning I was slinging dope carrying guns you know everything they rap about these days) Ms Renee had enough so she put my ass on the first bus gave me 30.00 dollars and sent me to Atlanta to live with my Aunt. When I arrived in Atlanta I had fifteen dollars and some change to my name (shit I had to eat) When I made it here my aunt was suppose to pick me up from the bus station well I waited and she never showed up so I called and no answer I left messages no responses mind you I had to use a pay phone so now I have 13.00 dollars I had no one it wasn’t like I could hop back on the bus or call someone else so I slept at the bus station for a couple of days until I meet this homeless guy named Ed and he started talking to me you know explaining what went wrong with his life and trying to convince me to change mine. He took me this homeless shelter Atlanta mission on Decatur Street where I lived. I saw black men with no where to go, no money and a bunch of sorry ass excuses. Then and there I mind the decision to change my life. The shelter found me a job with a cleaning service that paid less than minimum wage and they also helped me get into college I lived in that shelter for 3 moths before I saved up enough money to rent a room. Then I had to walk 2 miles to catch the bus and two trains to get to school and work every day. It took me a year and a half to get a piece of junk car, but I was determined to finish college I graduated in 2005 with honors I mentor teenage boys every weekend so if any one’s interested in helping or being a role model to troubled teenagers we definitely could use the help hit me up. Also the proceeds from our events go towards helping troubled teenagers. So if you want to help drop me a line or just come out.
